About Us

UNESCO Club Belgrade was founded on October 31, 2003 and serves as the Federation of UNESCO Clubs of Serbia since December 2004. Based in Belgrade (Lomina 41), it coordinates a network of 45 clubs in schools across Serbia.

Accredited by the Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, and registered with the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs and the European Federation of UNESCO Clubs.

A Global Movement

Born alongside UNESCO between 1947 and 1950, the movement now spans over 5,000 clubs across 100+ countries on every continent.

Each club brings together people of all ages and backgrounds around shared ideals — peace, education and cultural exchange — addressing global challenges at the local level.

How We're Organized

Clubs in each country form a national Federation, registered by the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs (WFUCA), headquartered in Paris since 1971.

Every club operates independently and cooperates freely with other clubs domestically and internationally. Funding comes from membership fees, donations and institutional support — all on a non-profit, non-partisan basis.

  • Celebrating UN & UNESCO international days and years

Our Mission

UNESCO CLUB brings together all young people, citizens and institutions who agree with the ideas of UNESCO as stated in its constitutional act and who are ready to work on their implementation through creating a general climate of social development based on understanding among nations and the fight for peace.
